Hay &lt;u&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="color: red;"&gt;varias posibilidades.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/u&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: red;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;1º.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; El resultado es:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;1. 0 8 9 + 9. 8 0 1 = 1 0. 8 9 0&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pasos a seguir:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;1º. &lt;/strong&gt;El resultado tiene 5 cifras, una más que los sumandos. Como la mayor cifra que nos podemos llevar es un 1, ese será el valor de las casillas amarillas.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;2º.&lt;/strong&gt; Para llevarnos 1, al 1 de las unidades de millar del primer sumando tenemos que sumarle 9. De esa forma podemos deducir que el azul es el 9 y el rojo (suma de amarillo y azul) es el 0.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;3º.&lt;/strong&gt; Por último, resolvemos la cifra de las decenas, sabiendo que el rojo vale cero, que llevamos 1 de la suma de las unidades y que el resultado es 9. Así que el resultado sería: 4.900 +100 + 50=5.050.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Gauss lo resolvió de un modo aún más rápido. Sumó el mayor y el menor del grupo de números y vio que el resultado ( 101) se repetía en todas las parejas de números. Así que multiplicó 101 x 50= 5.050.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;¿Sabes qué ocurrió después con Gauss?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;El maestro consideró su deber convencer a sus padres de que el niño debería dedicarse a los estudios. Aunque el padre de Carl, obrero en Brunswick, prefería que su hijo aprendiera un oficio, su madre lo animó siempre a seguir estudiando.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A los 14 años Gauss fue llevado a la corte del duque de Brunswick, para realizar una exhibición de sus dotes como calculista. Como regalo, el duque le entregó varios libros de matemáticas y gracias a su ayuda, acabó su enseñanza secundaria y entró en la Universidad de Gotinga.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Gauss estaba entonces indeciso, dudando si dedicarse a la filología o a las matemáticas. Pero un mes antes de cumplir los 19 años, consigue construir, con regla y compás, un polígono regular de 17 lados (Se sabía cómo construir polígonos regulares cuyos nº de lados fueran múltiplos de 2,3 y 5, desde hacía 2000 años, pero no con otro nº primo de lados) ... Entonces la S puede ser el 0, o bien el 5, ya que 0 + 0 + 0 = 0, 5 + 5 + 5 = 15. S no puede ser 0, porque entonces el número simbolizado por SEIS empezaría por cero y eso no está permitido; por tanto S = 5.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Si S = 5 y nos fijamos en la columna de la izquierda, donde sumamos T + T, deducimos que T = 2, y que nos llevaríamos 1 de la columna R + R (luego R debe ser un número mayor que cinco).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lo más complicado es encontrar a qué equivale E, y esto sólo se consigue probando uno a uno con todos los números que nos quedan libres, 0, 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9. Razonando sobre si el número es par o impar, y teniendo en cuenta que el 2 y el 5 ya están usados, podemos ir descartando posibilidades; por ejemplo, si E = 0, entonces I = 1, pero R + R daría algo terminado en 0, y por tanto R = 0 ó 5, y esto no es posible ya que ambos números ya estarían asignados a E y a S respectivamente. Veo que el primer caso os resultó más fácil de adivinar. Os dejo todas las soluciones. En dos de ellos(el 2 y el 3) hay varias posibilidades.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;1.&lt;/strong&gt; ¿Cómo obtener 1.000 mediante una suma en la que sólo intervengan números 8?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Solución:&lt;br /&gt;8 + 8 + 8 + 88 + 888 = 1000&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;2. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt;¿Cómo obtener un total de 100 utilizando todas las cifras de 1 al 9 siguiendo su orden correlativo y empleando sólo los signos + y -?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Solución:&lt;br /&gt;12 - 3 - 4 + 5 - 6 + 7 + 89 = 100&lt;br /&gt;Hay otras 10 soluciones posibles&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;3.&lt;/strong&gt; ¿Cómo obtener un total de 100 empleando todas las cifras del 9 al 1 en las mismas condiciones que en el problema anterios?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Solución: 9 - 8 + 7 + 65 - 4 + 32 - 1 = 100&lt;br /&gt;Hay otras 14 soluciones posibles. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;4.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt; Empleando los signos +, -. / y x, consigue 24 con las cifras: 3, 3, 7 y 7. Para resolverlo hay que pensar en 3 dimensiones. Con esa perspectiva, las conexiones no se tocarían, sino que pasarían por encima.&lt;br /&gt;En el ordenador hay un truco para solucionarlo: cuando te quede la última conexión por resolver, lleva el circuito al símbolo del gas, del agua o de la electricidad, que esté frente a la casa que quieras conectar y "atraviésalo". Eso se consigue pinchando a la vez el botón izquierdo ( que estabas pinchando ya) y el botón derecho del ratón y traspasando el círculo para luego continuar sólo con el botón izquierdo. De esa forma estableces las 3 dimensiones que necesitas. Pero suponiendo que la pregunta estuviera bien formulada:&lt;br /&gt;Se necesitan los mismos &lt;strong&gt;5 gatos&lt;/strong&gt; para cazar 100 ratones en 100 minutos. Pensemos que fuera un equipo(olvidamos cuántos gatos lo forman). Si ese equipo consigue cazar a razón de ratón por minuto, en 100 minutos cazará 100 ratones. Sin embargo,la clave era el número de letras de la palabra que pronunciaba el vigía. En este caso la clave que debería haber dicho el espía para entrar era "cuatro" ya que es el número de letras de la palabra "seis".
